Joining UsTrips

At Sixth Form, we offer a rich and varied programme of educational trips that enhance classroom learning, broaden horizons, and inspire ambition across all A Level subjects. Our trips are designed to deepen subject understanding while giving students the opportunity to experience learning in real-world contexts.

Across the curriculum, students benefit from a wide breadth of experiences both in the UK and overseas. Recent A Level trips have included:

  • Geography: Fieldwork and exploration in Iceland

  • Physics: Academic visit to Geneva

  • Business & Travel and Tourism: Industry insight at Disneyland Paris

  • Politics: Engagement with democracy at the Palace of Westminster and academic enrichment in Oxford

  • Criminology: Courtroom experience to support understanding of the justice system

  • Photography: Creative development at the Black Country Living Museum

  • Film Studies & Creative Media: Behind-the-scenes industry experience at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter

  • English: Live theatre and performance study with the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon

  • Drama: Professional theatre experience at Aladdin at Birmingham Hippodrome

  • Sport: Ski experience and team development on our ski trip to Bormio, Italy

We also place a strong emphasis on careers-focused enrichment, helping students explore future pathways and make informed decisions about their next steps. Recent careers-related opportunities have included:

  • UCAS Exhibition: Supporting students with university applications and higher education choices at a national progression event

  • University campus visits: Experiencing student life first-hand and engaging with subject-specific departments

  • Employer insight visit: Professional exposure at Deloitte

  • Legal sector experience: Careers talk and insight visit with Wiggin LLP

Alongside these curriculum-based and career opportunities, we are especially proud of our Tanzania Mission Trip. This life-changing experience is fully funded through student-led fundraising, with students applying to be part of the team. The trip offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful community projects, develop independence, and gain a deeper understanding of global citizenship.

Together, these experiences reflect our commitment to providing an ambitious Sixth Form offer that extends far beyond the classroom and prepares students for life, study, and work in a global context.

All Saints’ Academy has helped me grow into a confident and self-assured student. The support I have received from staff, along with excellent extracurricular opportunities such as whole-Academy productions, has been invaluable.
